Boeing 767 Engine Change Tool Kit
Our client, an international logistics company with a fleet of freight aircraft, required a Boeing 767 Engine Change Tool Kit organising and storing.
The previous arrangement had a ply box which stored the parts in a haphazard manner, parts were difficult to identify and the box was unwieldy to access with a lift-off lid.
Rout 1 designed & manufactured a bespoke box with to the following spec:-
- 18mm plywood with the part number clearly engraved on the box.
- Heavy-duty timber base support to allow fork truck access (stamped to ISPM 15 so the box can be exported to international maintenance departments, as required).
- Hinged lid with the lockable closure catches.
- Clear identified compartments in the lower half for heavy items
- Removable plywood trays to hold lighter equipment, these slide-on runners to allow access to the lower section.
- Foam inserts in the trays the securely hold items and easily identify if an item is missing.
- A printed and laminated ‘map’ to identify where each item/tool is housed – with descriptions & part numbers.
- Completed to the customers tight delivery schedule.
